Tribeca Jazz Academy

The Tribeca Jazz Academy at Church Street School is designed to be a condensed version of the Tribeca Jazz Institute. We teach jazz as a language passed down directly from one generation to the next, focusing only on what’s necessary to become the best jazz musician possible.


Designed as an entry-point for many young adult jazz musicians (18 yrs & up), this three-week program runs concurrently with the Tribeca Jazz Institute.

SCHEDULE:

Winter 2027: Monday, February 22nd - Friday, March 12th
Spring 2027: Monday, April 26th - Friday, May 14th
Fall 2027: Monday, November 1st - Friday, November 19th

Program Details

Each Tribeca Jazz Academy Semester includes:

  • Nine 3-hour ensemble classes.

  • Ensemble classes are held Monday - Friday at Church Street School for Music and Art at 41 White Street in Lower Manhattan. Start and end times vary.

  • Two 1-hour private lessons scheduled separately.

  • Private Lesson times, dates, and locations are individually scheduled.

  • Up to 7 hours of practice room time at the school per week.

  • Practice rooms will be available from 9am - 3pm, Monday through Friday

  • One Jam Session

Policies

Tuition Policy

  • Students accepted to the program must secure their spot by making a non-refundable deposit $500 at the time of acceptance. 

  • Full tuition for the program is due 30 days prior to the start date of the program unless the student is accepted less than 30 days prior to the start date, or an alternative payment plan has been agreed upon in advance.

  • Payments can be paid by cash, check, card, or bank wire.

  • Tuition Deadlines:

    • Winter 2027: Saturday, January 23rd

    • Spring 2027: Saturday, March 27th

    • Fall 2027: Saturday, October 2nd
