Flutist Julie Lee is a dynamic performer actively engaged in solo, chamber, and orchestral music across the United States and Asia. As her playing encompasses a wide range of musical styles and settings, she has appeared with renowned ensembles including the New York Philharmonic and Albany Symphony. Lee has been recognized in several competitions, including New York Flute Club Competition, American Protégé International Competition, and Camerata Artists International Competition. She won the Eisenberg Fried Concerto Competition, where she performed Nielsen’s Flute Concerto with the Manhattan School of Music Chamber Sinfonia under Maestra Jane Glover. An avid chamber musician, Lee is a member of Uptown Winds, a woodwind Quintet dedicated to bringing exuberant performances to communities across New York City. Lee is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts in Flute Performance at the Manhattan School of Music, where she also earned her Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees.
