
Ryder Eaton
Ryder Eaton's primary instrument is the electric bass guitar, though he also sings and plays double bass, guitar, and piano. He received a bachelors degree in Jazz Bass Performance from the Eastman School of Music in 2018.
As a sideman he has worked in jazz, hip-hop, pop, folk, and old-time settings. He is also a singer songwriter.
As a child he studied the technique of Jamaican modern dance choreographer, Garth Fagan, and he continues to dance today.
In addition to drawing all his life, he has studied visual art at the Art Students League of New York, from which he received a Phyllis Harriman Mason Grant for his oil painting in 2025.
Since moving to New York in 2021, he has taught private music lessons to people of many ages.
He joined the CSSMA faculty in 2025.
