Shan Y. Chuang

Piano, Voice

Shan Y. Chuang is a piano and voice instructor who was born and raised in Taiwan, but currently lives and works in NYC. Her professional career spans about 10 years with all ages where she always brings passion, encouragement, and positive energy with patience to every class. She is also a voice and advanced dance instructor at Circle In The Square Theatre School.


Shan has also an extensive career as an actor, dancer, and choreographer. Her theater credits include Caligula, Once Upon A Mattress, Anything Goes, Smokey Joe’s Cafe, Bat Boy, The Surrogate, and Behind the Mask. Some of her dance and choreography credits include 10 Years In the Making 10 Years of Me, Untitled Girl Narrative, I Could Never Love Anyone, Unseen, and Freaks Don’t Cry among many others.


Shan holds an MFA in Musical Theater from one of the top universities in Taiwan, National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU), and a BA in classical voice from the University of Taipei, specializing in Music Education. She is a graduate of Circle in the Square Theatre School (Professional Musical Theatre Workshop ’14).
