
Liz Chidester
Liz Chidester is a critically acclaimed and award winning singer, songwriter, actor, and teaching artist originally from the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.
Liz was a teaching artist for over a decade at the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago, IL, teaching adult ‘ukulele, voice, piano, guitar and songwriting in private and group settings. She led Wiggleworms, Outreach Programs, and Summer Camps from pre-school to teen. She also taught with Chicago Children’s Theatre, Youth Guidance, Sherwood Music School.
Liz now teaches in NYC with Church Street School of Music and Art, Education Through Music, Midori & Friends, and Arts Ignite. She continues to have her own private voice, ‘ukulele, guitar, and piano studio in-person and online.
With experience teaching all ages, Liz’s classrooms are calm but playful, and encourage new friendships. While everyone learns at a different pace and has different strengths, Liz believes we can call find a way to play together.
She is proud graduate of the School of Music at James Madison University.
