Songyi Kim is a Korean-born, New York-based artist and art educator. She has been teaching art for diverse groups of students in New York since 2007. Songyi experiences in teaching various media such as painting, drawing, mixed media sculpture and crafts working with early childhood groups, teens, who prepare portfolios, people with disabilities, adults and seniors in a group/private and in-person/online setting. Also as a professional artist, she has exhibited her mixed-media paintings and sculptures in numerous venues in New York and internationally after earning a BFA in Seoul National University, Korea, and an MFA in Virginia Commonwealth University, VA
