Drawing Technique I & II

In our drawing studio, students of all abilities will build techniques for drawing from observation and imagination! Through lessons exploring still life, landscape, figures, narrative, and portraits, students will gain confidence in composition, perspective, rendering, scale, and value. We’ll talk about different approaches that artists use to go from an idea to a finished artwork. With sketchbooks in hand, students will experiment with a variety of drawing materials, including charcoal, graphite, conte crayon, chalk pastels, and India ink.
