Originally from Taiwan, Dennis earned his MA in Performance Studies at Tisch School of Arts, New York University. He works as a director, playwright, performer, and performance artist, and has created productions addressing sexuality, philosophy, humanity, and class, to give his unique perspective on time, space, and power relations.

Dennis worked with The Living Theatre, and currently serves on the artistic director team of Al Límite Collective, with veterans of The Living Theatre. Dennis is the alumnus of the New York Directing Fellow of Drama League, the Institute Fellowship of Target Margin Theater, and also a member of Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab.

Directing credits include Rhapsody M (Queens' Council on the Arts' New Work Grant recipient), Caligula (New Ohio Theatre), Moon Bear (Brave New World Rep), Deathwatch (New Ohio Theatre), Blind (Theater for the New City), and Civilization and Its Discontents (Judson Memorial Church), to name a few. Assistant directing credits include Der Freischütz (Heartbeat Opera), She Loves Me (Playmakers Rep), and Sugar In Our Wounds (Manhattan Theatre Club).
