| SOLFEGE AND EURHYTHMICS |
5-12 years These classes offer an introduction to more complex
theoretical concepts in rhythm (eurhythmics) combined with experiences
in sight-singing (solfege) and musical notation. Solfege and Eurhythmics
students will explore conducting, metric organization, complex rhythm
reading, melodic and harmonic form, ear training, improvisational
techniques, and composition. |
| FOLK GUITAR CLASS |
| 7-9 years This class uses very simple familiar folk songs as the material for students to learn to play the guitar. Chord fingerings, strumming and picking technique, note and rhythm reading will be covered, with the primary focus on teaching students to accompany themselves when singing simple songs. Experience with ensemble and solo playing will be included. Class size limited to 4. Teacher’s permission required. |
